Bytewire Limited Presents Street Crime
Newly formed game design company, Bytewire Limited, is pleased to announce the release of their first online game, Street Crime. The game is a refreshing, gritty take on the gangster game genre, offering a range of activities from petty crimes such as robbing a paper shop, through to grand theft autos and more advanced organised crimes.
The game is unique in that no other gangster game can provide the level of detail which Street Crime boasts. Full of activities to keep you entertained for days including a turf feature which allows you to develop your own property joint.
The realm of internet gaming is growing rapidly, and Street Crime allows wide spread access to fans of the activity absolutely free, not only this, you can get into the action on any device which has a browser, no downloads required. Elliot Reeve, co-founder of Bytewire Limited, explains,
"As an online game, it can be played from any computer with a web browser and an internet connection, and we are now approaching 10,000 players, with hundreds more signing up every day. Players join gangs and compete to take control of land in different cities including New York, London, Tokyo and Rome."
Bytewire Limited caters for passionate gaming fans constantly seeking the next gaming trend, and Street Crime ensures not to disappoint with a fresh and exciting take on life as a gangster.
NOTES TO EDITORS
Street Crime is produced by Bytewire Limited, a company set up in 2008 by David Heward and Elliot Reeve. The two childhood friends from Maldon, Essex have been working on a beta version of the game for the past 2 years. David initially built the first version of the game for fun whilst studying Business Administration at the University of Kent. With no previous computer programming experience, David set about creating the game through independent research using books and online material. After graduating, he decided to set up business with Elliot and focus on bringing Street Crime to the masses.
The game's potential was spotted at the end of 2008 by a Hampshire based online publisher, Fubra Limited, who invested in the firm.
The online games market is worth $1 billion annually and is growing by 22% each year.
